What’s good!? I’m Stephen.

 What’s good!!? I’m Stephen. I’m a magazine publisher and founder of a food media company called Whetstone. (You should absolutely SUBSCRIBE!). But you’re probably here because you saw me on  Netflix’s (seminal docuseries on Black food culture), High on the Hog.  A COPY + PASTE later and here we are.  Welcome!  Here are some other notable things about me.

 I’ve spent my career using food and wine (and media) as means of organizing, activating and educating. Before Whetstone I was a sommelier and founder of a nonprofit organization working with Black and marginalized workers in South Africa’s wine industry. 

I am captivated equally by innovators and preservationists, and aim to invite both into my work. Forever I Love Atlanta.
